Multi-agent orchestration

Definition

A design pattern where several specialized agents (each with a specific role or tool) collaborate under the coordination of an orchestrator agent to solve a complex task that no single agent could complete alone.

Exam context

In AIF-C01 it is compared to using a single generalist agent: multi-agent orchestration divides responsibilities (e.g. a search agent, a calculation agent, a writing agent), improving accuracy and maintainability at the cost of greater coordination complexity.
