Google Cloud's unified ML platform for building, training, deploying, and managing machine learning models. Includes AutoML, Workbench (notebooks), and access to Google's foundation models (Gemini). Since April 2026 it is part of Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform.
In CDL it's the main AI/ML platform. Equivalent to Azure Machine Learning and AWS SageMaker. For CDL you don't need technical depth — just knowing it's GCP's managed ML solution is enough. The CDL exam guide still uses the Vertex AI name.
