Resource group (Azure)

Definition

A logical container in Azure that groups related resources (VMs, databases, networks) to simplify their management, deployment, and joint deletion. Every Azure resource must belong to exactly one resource group.

Exam context

A fundamental topic in AZ-900 and AZ-104. A resource group can contain resources from different regions. Deleting a resource group deletes all of its resources. Question: can a resource belong to two groups? No.
