The base organizational unit in Google Cloud that groups resources, billing, and permissions. Every GCP resource belongs to a project. Equivalent to an Azure subscription or an AWS account.
In CDL it's the fundamental unit. The GCP hierarchy: Organization > Folders > Projects > Resources. Project-level IAM is inherited by the resources within it.
