Artifact Registry

Definition

A Google Cloud service for storing and managing container images and packages (Maven, npm, Python, and more) in regional or multi-regional repositories. It replaces Container Registry.

Exam context

On the ACE it comes up when GKE or Cloud Run cannot pull images from a private repository: the service account that pulls them needs the Artifact Registry Reader role.
